Hi everyone,
First off, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all of you for supporting the Sierra8 collaborative project. A humble thanks of appreciation from both myself and Ace from Delta2Alpha, the response to the campaign was beyond what either of us thought possible and we are super excited to keep accelerating production and get these in your hands!
We also want to thank everyone who participated in the post-pledge survey, I know those things can be kind of annoying but they really helped us understand better what kind of extras and options you all were looking for and we're happy to say we can accommodate many of the most popular requests!
Based on your amazing feedback and suggestions throughout the campaign, we're working on creating our project survey and aim to release it the Feb 24th-26 weekend. This allows Kickstarter time to finish processing payments so any issues can be sorted out before the survey hits so it's a smooth process. We'll release another detailed update as notification for the survey release that goes over all the final options that will be made available through BackerKit (our survey hosting partner).
For those of you who are first-time backers, welcome! The "survey" is Kickstarters way of collecting your shipping details and letting you choose reward and add-on options. (want extra knives, the survey is your chance!) It also allows us to further plan our production and shipping batches so we can get your rewards out to you as soon as possible!

The frame-lock kit we've developed is made from a high temperature, engineering-grade fiber reinforced nylon filament called PAHT with a 15% carbon fill. It is hands down the strongest filament we have ever used and we're excited to be able to offer this part in this material. We will include for free ALL necessary hardware with every unit so even if you don't get the addon, you will be able to download and print the part yourself at a later date using any material you wish.

We've improved the compatibility of the pocket clip so the Sierra8 is now able to take common aftermarket deep-carry pocket clips with a 0.340" hole spacing such as the Titanium Low-Rider Stealth clip series. (which are made in the USA) The 3D model files for our printed clip will also be released at the survey to backers so many other colors and material variations can be used to make your Sierra8 unique!

By popular request standalone accent plates will be made available to addon at any reward level...Want to trick out your Stealth Black G10 with some brushed copper? You'll be able to do that! 😎 We'll have a nice selection of customized accents to addon in various metals; copper, brass, bronze and more.

We've had successful testing of laser engraving ceramic blades so we will be making a Ceramic Blade Pack available to addon as well. We've never seen anyone mark blades like this before so this is an exciting option! Thanks to those in the comments who made this suggestion in the campaign!
